• i can't tell you how happy i am that summer is finally here - i have most days off in july and august so i feel a bit like a school teacher.

• i meant to tell you that after we got married, we saw a mama bear and her two babies playing in a field. it was super cool.

• i'm convinced my cold has been brought on by the stress that i am feeling about my mom's party in ct for us. i can't do anything right for her. i have been working so so hard on everything - she has no idea. yet, nothing is good enough. she couldn't even say she liked the invites.
  
• pop tart almost threw down the other day with a woodchuck in connecticut. it was wild!
  
• saw the happening and i can't decide how i am supposed to feel about it, which probably means it was bad.
  
• saw iron man and the new indiana jones. if you only have money for one, go see iron man - it's awesome!
  
• i am so ready for the season to be over at work - just one more week and we switch to summer hours. which means basically that i have alot of time off.
  
• i randomly met geraldo rivera and you should know that his moustache is even more fantastic in person!
  
• my grandma turned 88 on saturday. my nephew's birthday is on wednesday - he turns 10.
  
• i hope i sleep at least 10 hours tonight. and i hope i feel alot better when i wake up.
  
• we have a quick temp fix for our handicapped computer and must start saving for a new one very soon.
  
• i hope you all are happy and well. sending lots of love.

been dreaming of going away lately. i wouldn't mind even a day trip. i don't know if it's in the cards right now.

today will be spent making invitations for my mom's celebration for our wedding. i love the invites. they are pink and orange which sounds alot worse than they look. i'll show you soon.

the dogs must go out quickly though. cocoa is still a puppy in that way.

last friday night, we went to the h2o show at the blender theater. we weren't going to stay long at first, but then well ... shit got fun. we went to see rusty really and give him a kiss (since he lives in la now). he made jack's wedding band and it's super gorgeous.

saw a bunch of old friends and had a blast. we ended up onstage for the entire set which was hilarious because i came directly from work wearing my sensible slacks, green ruffle shirt, and white cardigan. i stood out like a sore thumb next to everyone in their black shirts and tattoos. ha.

must go take the doggies out. have a good day!

so you know, i lost my camera on the day of my wedding, only to have it found the day after. so i am waiting on others to send me pics. ah well, something had to go not as planned!

i know, i know. i'm taking boring pictures of nature and flowers and stuff. it's an easy subject, i know. but give me a break - i live in nyc so when i get to see these things, i want to take a piece of it with me.

i spent the day with my gram today. it was my last day with her as a single gal. we had a lovely day making noodles and talking.

i have so much to do tomorrow and really i should be doing it right now, but i just feel like fiddling about. so that's what i'm doing. we leave very early wednesday morning for san fran.

i might not have time to check in before i leave for yosemite, so i hope you all have a lovely week. thanks for all the well wishes and i'll see you when i get back! lovelovelove!

i am six days away from being married and am definitely feeling less stressed. jack finally got an id and my tax return was deposited in my account. both of those things were making us antsy and crazy over the past few weeks. i feel a little lighter.

so let's look at some pretty things, shall we?

• i wish you could see these better, because in person these deco italian wine glasses are the cutest.
  
• a pillow to hug when you just feel like crying. it might as well match your mood.
  
• i'm not a huge fan of modern homes, but if i could have one of these in atlanta i'd rock it like nobody else.
  
• speaking of art, the metropolitan museum of art in nyc is having a superheroes fashion & fantasy exhibit through sept 1st. and it looks damn cool.

i'm walking around these days with butterflies in my throat. life is not easy, but worth it. we keep getting thrown curve balls. we get a couple of straight shots though too.

my mom and i have chosen a place for the connecticut celebration. i've gotten excited about it because we'll be renting out the planetarium too. there also will be animals and the lego exhibit. don't you agree a party with options is alot more fun? granted this party is basically for our families to meet and my mom's friends. still i think jack and i will have fun too.
